Duffy Robbins raises some good questions about adolescence in youth ministry.

Obsessed with cool. Trendy. Impulsive. Self-focused. Caught up in the moment. Probably sounds like a description of some of the kids in your youth group.
Actually, um…well…this is not an article about youth culture or the world of today’s teenagers. This is an article about us—those of us in the youth ministry culture, those of us who work with teenagers—and how we seem to be sliding into an adolescent approach to our faith and mission.

    Interesting article, a bit long. Could be summed up in the last paragraph or so.

    p.s. enjoyed his latest book on speaking.

    Ever heard of a book called "Student Ministry and the Supremacy of Christ" I came across it earlier today??

    Dave, I have that book. Skimmed over it and did not notice anything new. Like many, it suggests that youth ministry is failing but then goes on to prop up the SBC approach.
