I ran across this review from a link on Challies Blog and thought it was interesting, amusing, etc. Having not seen the film I cannot agree or disagree but thought it worth sharing here.
When does a film cross the line between entertainment and propaganda? A good hint is when it comes packaged with press materials touting the film’s potential to be “the largest outreach event for teens ever!” and plenty of not-so-subtle references to born-again Christianity. Yes, it seems To Save a Life is another dire entry from Samuel Goldwyn Films in their ever-growing line of what I’m now dubbing the faithsploitation genre.
