Christless Christianity?

While the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church, the assimilation of the church to the world silences the witness.

When we take Christ out of Christianity?

Oh gosh, we become the Western Church… American… we make it all about us and turn it into a cultural club that divides and excludes and serves itself and not the least of humanity and call ourselves blessed.

We ignore following the naked, crucified, bleeding one in favor for religion that serves our own agendas and false-selves.

We prostitute the Bride to serve our own addictive needs for power, property, and prestige.

When we remove Christ from Christianity, we worship our interpretations of scripture and form our own religion to serve our needs.

We build bigger barns to store-up for ourselves rusted tresures.

When we take Christ out of Christianity we pass by the narrow road to “come die with me” for the broad road that leads no where.

When we take Christ out of Christianity, we worship the BIG god, instead of the One who became Small and compels us to become small with Him.

Gosh, when we take Christ out of Christianity, we possess faith rather than faith possessing us.

When we take Christ out of Christianity, we numb ourselves with a religion of hate and division, rather than open ourselves to a relationship of love.

When we take Christ out of Chritianity we form 30,000 sects to serve our interests, rather than dying to ourselves so that we can be One like He and the Father are one.

When we take Christ out of Christianity, we ignore the cry of the broken, wounded and outcasts and drive past the rejected on our way to worship the god who makes us feel good.

When we take Christ our of Christianity, we become stumbling blocks to Jesus and our mission on this planet. We replace action and love for warming the bench and knowledge.

When we take Christ out of Christianity, we numb oursleves with religion rather than having our hearts set free to love like Jesus.

    Without Christ, I am nothing.

Lots to think and pray about.

    Thanks,

    Rick
